Well, I was out and about at a Renaissance Fair and of course, one's going to bump into geeks out and about, most most of them are wearing cloaks or clothing of the era. ( I wasn't though ).

I was waiting at a vendor line for lunch, and this rather attractive red-head shows up by me with a Thor T-Shirt on. I said I liked her shirt as I had thought about wearing mine that day and she laughed.

Anyhow, we get to talking about the next line-up of comic book movies, we weren't flirting, just keeping it light...then the boyfriends shows up.

Arrgg!

Anyhow, this may have to do with the "cold approach" subject, which was relatively easy because

1. We are all at an event where everyone is there for the same thing.

2. I had an icebreaker...the T-shirt.

But, the one thing about venues NOT conducive to approaching women are places like that.

1. Fairs

2. Festivals

3. Flea Market Extravaganzas

4. Conventions.

5. City mandated street parties.

6. Vintage boat shows

7. Beer/Wine fests

The list could go on...

I could name a few, but just "Fun" events that are open to the public where people can show up as it's not a cold, grocery store line approach or catching a woman our running errands.

But everytime I'm at these events, it's all "families and couples/lovers" You'll hardly ever see an actual unattached woman at these events.

Funny, sometimes I get to checkin out an a hottie with a corset of yesterdays Renn Faire, and at first completely overlook the husband and kid she has with her. LOL.

Is this a geography thing?

I think it might be a geography thing cus they say some syates in particular are known for having more married or non single people and other states are known for having more single people....but it could very likely be thr event too. I mean, if you think about it most people dont show up alone to those events..but i could be wrong too.

It could just be that people don't tend to go to those things alone. A single person would likely be with friends.
