Lurkeraspect Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 (edited) I don't get it. Why would a seemingly normal, single woman (or man) waste their time on the crumbs of someone who is married? And please, I don't want the, it just happened story. Nothing "just happens". Affairs are planned, executed, and must be soul sucking. I've read here for months and the story rarely varies, the heartbreak is typically the same. Not sure why anyone would sign up for a big pile of, well, not so much. And yes, I've found maybe 3-4 stories here of OW who transitioned (okay) the affair into some sort of legitimate relationship, but those odds aren't stellar. Just curious why an available person would latch on to such craziness. Perhaps I'm just daft and it's just desiring what someone else has? Edited November 9, 2014 by Lurkeraspect 1
Mister Zen Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Dating is a game to a lot of people. Some like the challenge. For others, they don't want anything too serious.. and they like their space. So someone who doesn't need their constant attention becomes appealing.
Tayla Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 I'm with you OP! sometimes birds of a feather flock together? Its not a behavior that I endorse yet it does seem to attract some questionable creative writing skills . 1
newmoon Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 i've never dated a MM, but there is a guy who i work with that was hitting on me for months - about 5 months (unsuccessfully) - before he revealed he was a MM. perhaps many women sleep with these guys and get to know them and like them without even knowing they are married? MM hide it often and some women can be tricked in that way.

MM hide it often and some women can be tricked in that way. I hear what you're saying, and there have been a few (very few) of the stories I've read here where the MM didn't share the fact of his status. But, it seems that most know exactly what they're getting, have no issue with being on the side. That's the dynamic I don't get.
Tayken Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 @OP.....it happens more than you know. I know a woman who's best friend (they work together too and go on vacays together), ended up banging her husband vice versa. They were both married. Personally, I can't knowingly be interested in another man's wife, knowing that someone else is banging her and she is doing things to that other man in the same house. It just doesn't interest me 3
