How can I ask her for another picture? All I've seen is her face neck-up

I think you're doing the right thing. Asking for more pictures may have left a bad taste in her mouth. I think it's better to judge attraction face to face instead of pictures. Have fun on the date.

Definitely! Wouldn't want that to happen!

Definitely. Wouldn't want that to happen. It would make the date even more awkward than it already will be!

If you've already arranged the date, I think you should just go. Its not like you can gracefully back out upon receiving a photo at this point.

Was going to say exactly this!

Go on the date and if it doesn't work out it doesn't work out! I don't know how you could gracefully ask for a body pic! Because you have seen her face so it's not like you can say you want to see one so you know what she looks like.

If you've seen a picture of her face and neck and she doesn't look obese, she couldn't be, wouldn't you think?

This is coming from a 43 year old married woman who has yo yo dieted all my life, lost weight, gained back, and lost again. In all the pics of myself I always had a slight double chin and round cheeks UNTIL I got to the '15 or 20 more pounds to go' point. So for my face to NOT look chubby, I had to be under 20 pounds overweight. If this girl doesn't have a double chin or chubby cheeks, she wouldn't be that overweight anyway.

And beauty comes in ALL sizes no matter what. Heaven forbid you be seen in public with a size 12 girl!

You should have cleared that before agreeing to a date. You should be respectful and have a nice date with her even if she's bigger than you want. You are then welcome to decline a 2nd date.

No, plenty of girls can have a cute face and be very large on the bottom half. It's deceptive. Girls also take the picture from overhead, their breasts protrude and hide the bottom half. A girl can seriously hide 50 pounds that way.

And that size 12 girl may actually be size 22 when you meet her.

It's frustrating meeting a girl who's a foot shorter than me but weighs the same.

A lot more women might want to consider this then don't you think next time they are on about a guy?

It's simple, when a person doesn't have a full length picture, they obviously have something to hide...period.

@OP....it's easy though, you can usually tell by the face and arms what you can expect to see. A slim girl/woman isn't going to have big arms and a chubby face.

This thread got more attention than I expected haha. We'll see how it goes tomorrow.

If she ends up being really overweight of course I won't be a douche like some have said here. I wasn't raised that way. I'll always be respectful but let's hope she isn't haha!

I'll keep you guys posted :)

It is very annoying to get the responses from someone who only post head shots. They are obviously trying to hide something and they know it's a dating site and people want to know your body type.

I just don't even respond to them. I don't care if they are using it to weed people out or trying to hide obesity. The cover up is just getting things off on the wrong foot and if you are a gym rat it is nothing wrong with being attracted to someone who is into working out as well. A person can't be talked into being turned on to someone of a soecific body type. They are either attracted to a type of person or not.

I didn't have any special reason for not having one up initially. I was new to OLD and it didn't occur to me initially. I only realized after some guy came right out and told me the reason. Not everyone online is hiding something

I'm ok with it . I try to keep myself in shape and would like a partner who does as well. I mean the guy I've been seeing recently is more on the cuddly side , but it suits him.

UPDATE:

So I finally met the girl. Turns out I was all worried for nothing. She was really sweet and very nice. Her only picture in her profile did not do her any justice. She was much prettier in person and she was very thin. We had a good time bowling and then got a bite to eat. She was really nice but it's unlikely I'll see her again because we really didn't have a lot in common. There were a few awkward silences while we ate. But she was super sweet. So thanks for the help guys! :)

Actually, people look different in person than in pictures, some better some not as good.

Your gonna have to meet her anyway, how do you know her one selfie isn't from 8 years ago?

It's OLD, never get your hopes too high.
