lyndaaxo Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 I've recently started writing things down in an online blog and I find it helps consolidate my feelings and get out any rants I might have. Its a fairly new thing but I'm finding its helping and kind of cathartic even if no one reads it. Has anyone else tried this? What did you think of it? 1
mercuryshadow Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 It is nicely put together. In the initial stages of the loss of a relationship, it is great to just let your thoughts/emotions/anger/pain flow, as a form of detox, one could say. After a reasonable amount of time, though, you should be sure to shift gears in your focus so as not to stay fixated on the breakup, as staying fixated would thwart your healing. Even in regards to coming to forums like this, one must be careful to not get pulled back in when reading others' struggles. I think you're on the right track, though, and a creative outlet is very beneficial in the healing process.
