Targetlock Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 thought I had got over this and was moving on but life has other plans it seems :/ was doing shopping at my local supermarket when i walk past the car park on the way home, and there in the car park coming the other way was my ex, it was painful seeing her for the first time after the breakup, she saw me and took the long way to avoid me. i noticed her looking back at me on the way home just as i was crossing the street. I guess it couldn't be more obvious she doesn't want anything to do with me any more and that it is over.
Michael 93 Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 you are not alone my man. I went through exactly the same today with my ex. I was working from the same office as her today. Know you are not alone. Her detour just makes you wonder is she still finding it as difficult. Do not read into it or use this as a tool to contact her. Well done. You've passed a milestone

You've passed a milestone Nope not going to contact her or do anything (i deleted her contact details a few days ago anyway) i felt very rejected like she didn't want anything to do with me. its just easier to let it go and move, sometimes its not worth the trouble and i didnt do anything i just kept on walking.
SoThatHappened Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Good job man. You've honestly done a great job throughout the whole process. It's definitely not easy. The wrong girl walked away to avoid you... the right girl will be walking beside you soon enough. Keep your head up!
d0nnivain Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Look at it this way: You saw her & you SURVIVED. The earth didn't swallow you up. You didn't implode. You lived to fight & love another day. She may have avoided you because she doesn't want anything more to do with you but because you are such a nice guy I'm going to suggest an alternative: she avoided you because she knew she had hurt you & this was her way of trying not to make it worse. There are no easy answers or right /wrongs here. Some people like you would get hurt because she didn't acknowledge you; others would be more upset if she'd say hello, like there wasn't all this history. 4
OK_computer Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 You just have to remember one thing, many people have it a lot worse than you. I know it hurts and it's hard to get over an ex, but think about how many times you may see her in your life, like 7? You don't go to college/school with her I'm assuming. Think about those people, ie my self, who has to see BOTH his exes (that totally devastated him the last 4 years) in school every single day. There is NOT a day when I don't see my ex, and if such as day is there, I go home and enjoy it with a nice glass of wine. So, consider yourself lucky you don't see her every day, you'll get over this day with time, but how do I get over the YEARS? lol. I'm just saying, keep your chin up. The reason she avoided you is because it's awkward BECAUSE of the fact you have history, that's the mark. Mine avoids me but looks at me from a distance...AS IF. 1
Seeker12 Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Mate, im in the same boat, my ex has got a job at a nursery near my house, unfortunately to get to that nursery she will be catching the same bus i catch to go to town, sooner or later we will be bumping into eachother. Now although we both mutually broke up due to external reasons, its still going to hurt like hell, knowing shes someone i want but cant have, for now anyway, and i really dont know how il deal with the situation, last thing i want is to end up getting off the bus and to spend time crying.
DrReplyInRhymes Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 The fact that she avoided YOU does speak loads, But in all honesty, move on from this toad. You are a man, and with self esteem, a commodity, Don't make yourself to be an oddity. Don't forget the feelings that once did exist. Learn from the mistakes, smile, and pump your fist! You are a single man, and there's billions of ladies! Talk to one sometime, you might find she isn't so shady! It will make you feel better, and if she likes you, confidence too, It will help you realize there's life with another view, One where you are happy, and not thinking of your ex. One with a fulfilling relationship, and probably great sex. 1
