moimeme Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 Actually, I'm absolutely delighted when my guys' exes are better-looking than me - and they still prefer me For years I wouldn't wear makeup or pluck my eyebrows and I actively avoided dressing alluringly or flirting. I always wanted to be appreciated for the kind of person I am and actively avoided what I felt to be 'baiting' men with anything else. I will spiff up appropriately to go to special events and I clean up real nice. I don't do the slob thing, but neither do I aim for perfection. I never wanted anybody to feel as though they were a victim of 'bait-and-switch' LOL. And if my personality doesn't win them over, what'll be left when we get old or ill?

Still didn't stop him from going back to her though. She was a little messed up too. . Oh well. It's been about two years since. Wonder if her hair has grown back. . Lol. Haven't seen any photo's of my current boyfriend's Ex's though.

Cosmetic Surgery and Bingo? JK JK JK!!!!! I know what you're saying.. of course I want my BF to love the person I AM. Physical attraction is usually the first thing that draws people together and then yes there absolutely needs to be more substance to maintain the relationship... I have never bait and switched a guy LOL this is who I am.. and if anything they find out that the kind of girl I am is the one who does have a million bottles of shampoo and conditioner, shoes, clothes... me and my hair guy are tight LOL I see him every 2 months I'm allllllllll about the manicure and pedicure and don't pluck my eye brows because LOL I have them waxed when I go to the salon My BF laughs at all the "Girl stuff" I have and bring to his house... my sister is the girl who doesn't do any of these things and she thinks I'm whack because I do... BUT when I asked my BF about this he said that he's happy with how I am this is what attracted him.. and he's all about it. So I guess when we get old and sick I'll still be doing what I do now... and be a sexy gma!

My feet are a priority- I can't stand to see a woman with terrible looking feet hanging out of a pair of sandals. Saw the corns off those babies!

blind_otter Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 Someone told me that my eyebrows are overplucked. OVER PLUCKED?!?! Fine whatever. I only do my nails when I am in a good mood. Otherwise they are just clipped really short. Honestly I think feet are gross and I don't want them near enough to me to be able to tell if there are corns.

You're pretty and fit and "all that" physically but he only wants to f*ck you (your words not mine)....yet he won't dump the new "fat" GF....hmmm... Must be something she's got going for herself other than the typical shallow exterior! It's very possible that he likes her personality over mine, but just because I'm physically attractive doesn't mean that I'm shallow. I also have a bachelors degree in legal education. I'm currently working on a masters degree. And I am considering law school in the near future. In addition to looks, I am smart, and I am loving, kind, and understanding. I know I'm not perfect. I wasn't trying to be boastful in my post. I also wasn't trying to set myself up to be a shallow person. The main point I wanted to make is that I have a lot more going for me than my XBF's new girlfriend, yet he chose her over me. That's all !! I wanted to make it clear that I was very interested in knowing what my XBF's new GF looks like; because, eventually, I discovered that his choice of her was based upon his own insecurities. My XBF wanted someone whom he could dominate. Someone who was less educated than himself. My XBF has a Ph.D in Political Science. Yet, his new GF never went to college and she's the same age as I am. She doesn't work and still lives at home with her parents. But she spends a vast amount of the money she has, buying him things to "keep" him. Perhaps, she may be rich, I don't know. If she isn't rich, then she's ugly and stupid. Two things that I'm clearly NOT. If anyone lacks personality, it's my XBF. I'll give the new GF credit for being smart enough to "keep" the shallow and insecure man whom I couldn't keep. javascript:emoticon('')
