It's empty really, when you think about it. My mother is one of those china-doll asian women who looks perfect. Perfect skin, perfect hair, NO PORES to speak of (hah - none that are visible). She is also the least concerned about her looks. She only ever wears lipstick and fills in her eyebrows, but of course looking like her I wouldn't wear makeup ever anyways...that said, her true value, what makes her so stunning, so that when she walks into a room everyone notices the older asian woman who looks so elegant and dignified and beautiful....is her personality. She is stunningly intelligent, competant at her profession, and very well read. Looks fade. Unless you do the frantic things women in our society do to make themselves look younger than they are. I find those women who spend so much time and money on their **** like a little irritating. Of course I value how people look on a certain level, but essentially - if a person is morally, or heavens forfend - INTELLECTUALLY bereft, I notice that a lot more. That's what I was saying in my original post - my exHusband was angrier that I was dating men who had sh*tty personalities, more than he was upset that they looked hotter than he does. I think in a lot of ways, if given the choice between the two, of course I would rather choose to be intelligent and butt ass ugly than be stupid as sh*t and beautiful.

I was surprised to discover that his new GF was exactly the type of woman that he had always told me he didn't like. I'm very slim (110lbs). I have great hair and skin. I have been modeling part-time for local magazines, news papers, and fashion shows for the past 11 years. Fitness is my obssession. The only people who criticize my looks are women, and that's usually because they are jealous. I'm not perfect, but I know I'm not ugly either. She is fat. She has bad hair and bad skin. She is also taller than my XBF. She's also very very passive and buys him expensive gifts. It puzzled me as to why my XBF cheated on me with her. He was devistated when I dumped him because of it. Even now, he still wants to F**k me, but he has no intentions of breaking up with her. Sometimes, I feel bad thinking that perhaps, the ugly new GF may actually be prettier than me since my XBF choose her over me. :=(

I am chubbier in my old pics than I am now...my face is rounder and stuff. I was on the breakup diet and then I had the flu for a week and I look like a withered old bag of bones.

You're pretty and fit and "all that" physically but he only wants to f*ck you (your words not mine)....yet he won't dump the new "fat" GF....hmmm... Must be something she's got going for herself other than the typical shallow exterior!

And then I met up with her and him for lunch one day, (and I of course had spent 14 hours trying to look my best cause it was my first in-person meeting, and apparently I had something to prove)...and I saw her, and I was like, yup...this one's in the bag!!! OMG, I am so wrong! It's weird cuz when I first saw her pic my first thought was...oh, she's alright. I don't know why we're always trying to measure up! If it was his cousin or whatever, I probably wouldn't have even thought about her looks twice! Bb
