greenman77 Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 I ask because so far I haven't had any luck with OkCupid. I get to talk to a few girls but it never turns into meeting in person. They either stop responding after a while or they delete their account before I get to ask them out. In two occasions I suggested to two different girls to meet up and do something and they said they weren't ready and basically the conversation ended. They simply stopped responding. My guess is that it varies from girl to girl but how long do you think I should wait to ask them out? Based on my experience I think it should be 5-7 days after we first talk. Too early and they get cold feet saying that we should get to know each other better and too late they loose interest and stop messaging me back before I can even suggest it. Don't know if age makes a difference but I'm a 22 y/o male messaging girls between 18-24. What do you guys think? Thanks.

I'm on OKC, and if I guy I was messaging waited a full week before asking me out, I'd figure he wasn't that interested. Dude, I'd understand if you were a bit older, had a busy career driven life or had a social circle that had shrivelled up but 22!?!? You're at the greatest years and time of your life and you'd opt to sit in front of a computer? What happened to heading out with friends, meeting new people and the likes? You're going to get a lot more success if you work on yourself and confidence and head out into the world that thinking a dating site is going to work.
