Why would a guy break up with a girl after the relationship starts to get serious?

Thanks for your answer.I actually think he does have commitmentphobia because he came on sooooooo strong, kept talking about meeting my fam,moving in which all scared me!so it was weird when he broke up with me when things were really good.He also toldme that he doesnt understand love ,i dont really know what he ment by that:/
