Chasin Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 So my GF (Now ex obviously..) just broke things off. It was pretty mutual. No hard feelings between eachother and wasn't for anyone else. She's doing her internship and agrees her attention and interest is completely up there, as it should be. So we agreed to keep it civil and just be friends unless we find our interest back in eachother. Though, I've never had a break-up quite like this. Most end bad and we just don't speak until years later.... Should I text her at all, ever? What should I say? Should I just do simple small talk here and there? I'm sure she'd text me as well, so that won't just be a one-way street.
danny345 Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 I would leave it alone initially, at least for a time. Several months I'd say. Just to let each other breathe and live without each other for a time. If the break up was mutual then this shouldn't be super hard.
CaliBabe Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 Agreed. Leave it alone for a few months. Let things happen for real, organically. If they ever do. Trust the timing.
Mi7522 Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 I agree chasing her now will only push her away and complicate things more
