Hello,

I finally went to a party where I got to meet people I had met online. Some were pleased to see me,but I got the feeling that those that really mattered to me felt a bit underwhelmed with me! I think people like me until I open my stupid mouth :( I'm so awkward

I can't really ask them how they felt and yet, we have not spoken online since we met last night....

So what to think ?

Thanks for any advice

What did you think about them, after meeting them in person? Was there anyone who stood out for you?

WOW! I don't know if I could do such a thing myself. For one, peeps online can be anything. I find it easy to speak up online more than being around peeps in general. Though it is in single replies... as I can't gather properly enough when there are too many replies going on. But that is just one wee example of how peeps can be so different.

For you, you may find it hard to say what you normally would say online, not that it is difficult but afraid of how peeps can take it around you. I know from my own experiences that peeps are critical at first impressions. Even if they know you online.

Let it go, they are online peeps, maybe one will poke at you and say hi in accepting you, even though you may have been less than expected.

At least you have that as a possible outcome. There can be many other good things as well. You must trust something out of seeing peeps. Just be who you normally are online and allow yourself to a part of things.

Stop thinking about the negative... it will make what good feelings you have be so sour.
