FitChick Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 In the profile you have to write your ideal date or a date idea and they call it a Date Spark. I assume that is to give someone who contacts you a clue on what to do. Anyone done this? I just filled it in with my vacation dates and the towns I'll be visiting in their area. I suggested dinner as I would be out all day running around playing tourist.
sdrawkcaB ssA Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 Gosh, so if I put in the date spark... Enjoy crashing funerals for the free eats, I may find a thrifty EMO girl??? Gosh only if I had such dating sites back in college. Mwhahhaaaaaaa!!!
acrosstheuniverse Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 I've seen sites ask about what my ideal first date would be. For me it's usually the same: grab a coffee after work. A coffee shop enables you to see if you get on well/are attracted without clouding your minds with alcohol, it's short and non-committal if you're not feeling it, it's a safe crowded place, it's cheap and there are very low expectations. You know what they say: 'Coffee is cheap, drinks are an audition, lunch is an interview but dinner means business'. I'm absolutely fine with that. I want to meet someone with zero pressure so that I can see if I fancy seeing them again, and they can see if they feel the same way back. If you are both still interested after coffee, you can then plan for a more fun, exciting, in depth date like a nice evening meal out, drinks in a great bar, going on an activity date, going to the museums, going to a comedy club or whatever. I just wouldn't wanna be stuck doing any of those things with a guy who I knew from the second I walked in the room I wouldn't be seeing again.
