statenislandmom Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 anyone out there sign separation papers without letting a lawyer see them and then decide you wanted it changed?????
PegNosePete Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 No, and anyone would be crazy to sign a legal document without having a legal professional check it first. If you now want to change it then you'll certainly need the help of a legal professional. If you want your car fixed you go to a mechanic, if you want your hair cut you go to a hairdresser, if you want your drive done you go to a driveway company... why do so many people think they can become legal professionals overnight! 1

d0nnivain Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Sadly lots of people do this & it is very difficult to do. If you haven't already signed don't be pennywise & pound foolish. Get a lawyer. If you already did this, you better be able to prove that the deal is unconscionable. It's tough. 1
