I posted about this guy a few times but to give a brief background. We met on a paid online dating site. He's 36 and I'm 26. He said he isn't a big texter and doesn't use a lot of social media accounts. We went on 5 dates, all initiated by him/ he paid for dates 1-3. The last 2 were movies at his place. We made out, cuddle, heavy "petting" but nothing beyond that. We both said " i like you" to eachother.

I knew he had a trip coming up and he'd be away for 3 weeks. THe later half of the trip would be out of the country. He told me we can text while he's traveling up until he leaves the country. I initiated texting on 2 separate days while he was away and asked if he wanted to check out a new local movie theater sometime. He said he'd love to and sent me some pics from his trip. Afater that, I held off on texting to see if he would contact me. On the 5th day of no contact he texted and seemed a little alarmed asking if I was doing well with mult "???" He said he'd been busy and was leaving the country that night. He gave me his email bc texting would be too expensive and told me to email if I wanted.

I sent short but up beat/"newsy" email asking 2 questions.

He responded as seen below. I'm pretty bad at knowing what to say if someone doesn't ask questions... I do like him and want to keep communication going (he's away for one more week). What else could I say to him, without dumping numerous life updates on him considering we've only had 5 dates?

"Hey __,

I'm doing great. Having fun in ___, catching up with friends and family, and also playing poker. (Another Country) will be coming up next week, looking forward to that. I already have dog withdrawal, no doubt about that.

Very happy to hear things have worked out with your new apartment. It will be great to have your own place, I'm sure. Especially with some of the rules you have to live by in your current situation. The freedom will be nice I'm sure.

Time for me to get some sleep. Trying to get on a normal sleep schedule finally. My body was all confused, lol.

Talk to you later.

Ciao,

_____"

If you want to keep communicating and he didn't ask questions, you can ask him a question or two next time.
