collegestudent1 Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 I am an 18 year old college student and I had a really bad day today. My day was pretty good in the morning and it got worse in the afternoon. I texted a guy asking him to meet for lunch and he completely ignored my text! None of my friends were in school today so I sat with random people. I tried to talk to a random guy at lunch and it seemed like he didn't want to talk to me and then 2 minutes later he said, "I'm sorry" and left. I also sat with another random person at lunch and a few minutes later he left also! Why do people keep ignoring me when they weren't before? Am I not pretty enough to be ignored? No guys are hitting on me anymore and they used to all the time.
d0nnivain Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 To some extent it's a self fulfilling prophecy. When you think you are invisible or unworthy, you are. If all your friends weren't in school today, you may need a bigger social circle. Join a club or organization on campus. Learn how to eat by yourself. When they still existed, I used to read the newspaper at lunch.
Ducky71 Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 Occupy your mind, there are more important things to think about, trust me. Find things to do that make you feel good about yourself, confidence is sexy! Get your self esteem up and people will notice. Or, maybe it's just one of those days, we all have them...chin up camper!!
smackie9 Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 Maybe these guys have had a bad go with being stuck in the friends zone, and feel you were just talking to them for the attention. How about leaving the guys alone and make due with talking with the female students.
