elizabethtown Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 My boyfriend lives 14 hours away and is supposed to move here in a few months. He used to talk to me all the time, and then he told me he loves me. (Weve met before). And npw, he doesn't talk to me as much. He never texts me in the mornings like he use to, and actually will go into the evening without saying a word to me. He's neglecting me and he tells me he's sorry and his communication is bad. I had a night where I made a bad decision to drink and I texted him all these things about either treat me better or I'm done. And now he will barely speak with me. He's actually currently refusing to speak to me. He's mad at me. He said the girl he loves feels neglected and hated by him. We were so happy. I have helped him through so much and this is what I get in return. I've been going through something very serious and he refuses to talk to me. Why isn't he there for me? If I were him, i would drop everything in a heartbeat for the one I love. Why can't I find a man that will do the same. Please, please provide me with advice. I just told him something very personal and have heard nothing. Do I not reach out to him until he does me?
TMichaels Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 Do I not reach out to him until he does me? If you don't mind begging a person to love you, then go ahead. If you have any self-esteem or sense of self-worth, turn your back and walk away. He doesn't deserve any more attention than he's paying to you. Best, TMichaels
d0nnivain Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 Pick up the phone & talk to him. Explain that the distance & change in his behavior fueled by alcohol stressed you out & apologize for threatening a break up like that but do explain that you two do have to talk. Can you see him before he moves? Are you anticipating that once the distance is resolved, things will get better? Tell him that.
