crazychick Posted March 9, 2005 Posted March 9, 2005 I am dating this guy that when things are just on the surface, meaning we talk about nonsence and don't ever get involved in any deep discussion, we are fine. We have had our share of problems, have broken up for long periods but keep getting back together. The problem is, I really don't want to be with him. He doesn't treat me very good. I found out 2 months ago that he was addicted to herion and going thru serious withdrawl. I never even knew that he had been using it for months. The only reason that I even found out is because he was trying to get off of it alone and was so sick he could barely move and he needed my help. He says he won't touch the stuff again, but I don't know what to believe. On top of that, I got barely any acknowlegement for my birthday, nothing for christmas even though I got him something. I asked him to meet my family and he said no. Then he said yes but I was so turned off by the whole thing I freaked out. I can go weeks without talking to him but then I miss him for some reason and want him back. I feel sick when he doesn't want to be with me, even though I just feel like this thing is going no where. Why do I feel like this? Why do I want him and not want him at the same time?
agnf666 Posted March 10, 2005 Posted March 10, 2005 Well...I think that you two need to be just friends right now. He still needs to get himself straightened out. Since he didn't tell you he was using it, he still maybe using it behid your back. The reason you got nothing for your bday or xmas is because he probably spent all his money on drugs. He seems like all he cares about is himself. You need to get away from this guy. I know it will be difficult but believe me in the long run it will be better for you. Being with someone that has a drug addiction is not a very good relationship. After being with the person for a while you might pick up the habit then that wouldn't be good at all. So, speaking from past exprience, think about just being friends or just completely stop talking to him all together. You don't seem very happy with him so, with out him you should feel better.
clynn Posted March 10, 2005 Posted March 10, 2005 Don't go out with someone addicted to heroin. It is a killer. It is next to impossible to break this habit. It turns the best people into losers. They barely have a hope.
agnf666 Posted March 10, 2005 Posted March 10, 2005 What clynn says is true... The only way a herion addict can completely quit is if they are going away to rehab for more then a few months. People who are addicted to herion just don't stop. Herion is a hardcore drug, easy to get hooked hard to get off. Most cases if you go with out herion you suffer withdrawls so bad it leads to alot of negative things.
Author crazychick Posted March 10, 2005 Author Posted March 10, 2005 This is a sickness I swear. There is someone else in my life that is nice and sweet and fun and wants to have a relationship with me and I am so wrapped up in this guy I can't even make myself move forward with him. I don't know what it even is really. I can't be friends with him, because for whatever reason, I am attracted to him and it just screws everything up. I need to cut it off. Maybe I should just change my phone number so he can't call me even if he wants too? Just put this behind me completely?
HotCaliGirl Posted March 10, 2005 Posted March 10, 2005 Just end your contact with him cold turkey. Change your number, don't call or take his calls and start seeing that other nice guy who is interested in you. You shouldn't get pulled down with the addict hanging onto an anchor dragging you down like this.
Author crazychick Posted March 10, 2005 Author Posted March 10, 2005 Does anyone know anything about this Sprint PCS feature called Call Barring? You are supposed to have a certain model phone to use it but you can add a number to be blocked from calling you. Does anyone have this on their phone? If so what is the model number? I would rather get a phone with this option then to change my number completely if I can.
HotCaliGirl Posted March 10, 2005 Posted March 10, 2005 Go to the Sprint website or give them a call to find out how to program that feature on your phone. That's a good idea...
