333unsure Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 He sounds like bad news, and I'm not sure compatibility is the issue as much as him being kind of needy and wrapped up in himself and insecure. I would say you dodged a bullet (although I would think about being more open/genuine and less standoffish in the future, if you like someone). I don't think it's a good idea to go to the marathon to support him. I think it would be a bit weird and give him the wrong impression. Way too much hot/cold from both of you, back and forth. Better to start fresh with someone new, who is more laid back (seems like that would be a better fit) and make an effort yourself to be more direct and authentic.
