irc333 Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 I got a kick out of this one. A woman had posted as one of her pics on POF those photos taken at the beach where she takes a pic of her boobs down to her feet. (Camera pointed straight at her chest). She says she did it to get an idea of what her body looks like and "please do not ask for any more bikini pics and don't talk about her body sexually or be propositioned" But yet, she posts a pic like that and doesn't want the unwanted attention?
PegNosePete Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 So doesn't want unwanted attention. she wants wanted attention. ie. attention from guys she likes. 6
insert_name Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 It's the analog of the 6-pack pics- although even less appealing. As always though they are doing you a favour by putting one up as it can give you an insight into how she views herself moreso than a pic of her skiiing/riding an elephant/at machu picchu will. No matter what the other pics/profile are like, its always a 'NEXT' from me if one of those beach shots crop up.
insert_name Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Oh and to pick up on her justification, its really funny when women choose to objectify themselves and put the results in the public domain and then still think they can retain the right to control the response. Don't put it up there if you might have issues with how it will be received!
CaliGypsy Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Funny you should bring up bathing suit pictures. Someone asked me yesterday where my bikini pictures were. Uhhhhh .. I'm not posting swim suit photos. Someone should tell men not to be so crude on the internet .
Michelle ma Belle Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 So doesn't want unwanted attention. she wants wanted attention. ie. attention from guys she likes. Exactly my thoughts! This is the stuff that drives me f*cking CRAZY! So many women (especially the younger generation) complain they don't want to be objectified and yet they go around posting pics like this online (be it OLD or FB or any other social media channel) and think that putting some lame disclaimer somehow absolves them. Give me a f*cking break. There are better ways to get your point across. And POF? Yeah, enough said. 3
thefooloftheyear Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Eh... It wouldnt bother me..If you have a good body I dont see that there would be anything wrong or haughty with showing that .Man or woman..I just think if you are going to do it, make it tasteful and dont pick the single picture out of the hundred where the lighting and angles were just perfect so you wind up looking nothing like you would in real life..That will only lead to some disappointment later.. TFY
Author irc333 Posted October 10, 2014 Author Posted October 10, 2014 (edited) .I just think if you are going to do it, make it tasteful. TFY Well, just to show an example....This one wasn't tasteful. If you get what I mean. lol. Edited October 10, 2014 by irc333
No Limit Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Low self-esteem. Could be an easy lay. A lot to choose from. I'm just surprised that these girls or women are always so offended when guys ask for more pictures. How are a few more pictures going to hurt them?
Priv Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Well, just to show an example....This one wasn't tasteful. If you get what I mean. lol. I find that pic very tasteful . Get on Tinder, I reckon over 50% of women have some bikini pic in there. I see no harm in it. That reminds me. Need to get some butter from the supermarket for my topless profile pic. 1
thefooloftheyear Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Well, just to show an example....This one wasn't tasteful. If you get what I mean. lol. Not impressed...If it was her intention to "show what she's got", then she would have to do a lot better than that...Show a full frontal in a small bikini...Then I'll see.. That being said, I do agree with the other female posters in that it is highly rude for a guy to ask for that up front...IDK..This is why Id never dream of doing OLD...It just seems like a lot of smoke, mirrors, camera angles and a whole lot of bullshyt... TFY 2

central Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Most men want to know what a potential date's body is like, and she's providing the information. It avoids wasting her time and potential prospects. It's really very thoughtful and effective, and she just asks the immature sleazebags to avoid commenting innapropriately (sadly, the immature sleazebags lack the ability to comply). OP, you seem to be very conflicted about sex and sexuality, based on this and other posts. Perhaps you're not ready to date or be in a relationship. 2

But please explain how that photo shows what her body is like.....because I dont see how anyone can make any kind of determination from that photo..She has flabby legs and what looks like a boob job...Thats about all I can say for sure.. TFY 1
Author irc333 Posted October 10, 2014 Author Posted October 10, 2014 If someone wants to post a bikini photo. ..just have a friend do it while out at the beach. Like one laying on a blanket or lounge chair by the pool. The example I gave wasn't the one I was talking about...but it was taken at a higher angle. Besides POF has become the new Facebook these days ...some aren't even there to meet anyone. ..they just enjoy the attention and ego boosts. Low self-esteem. Could be an easy lay. A lot to choose from. I'm just surprised that these girls or women are always so offended when guys ask for more pictures. How are a few more pictures going to hurt them?

Although I don't disagree with the notion that many men and women on OLD want some clue of a prospects entire figure/body, surely there are better ways to go about it. If men really just want too see a woman's bits and pieces before considering them as a viable prospect, then I suggest ALL men start posting pics like THIS on their profiles for all the single ladies... http://media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/d4/be/35/d4be35eee252b3344e012edb9ab99c4b.jpg I mean, it only seems fair after all 1

The only issue is that if a guy does it he is a showoff and a jerk...If a woman does it, she is just "weeding out those out of her league".. TFY

TFY Regardless, you're going to be damned if you do and damned if you don't either way. Why should women be the only ones up for scrutiny when it comes to their physical parts? Wanna see how flat my abs are? How about how tight my ass is? What about how big my tits look in a fitted t-shirt? Well then, show me yours and I'll show you mine (and I'm clearly being facetious) 1

I think this calls for an all buttered up (for special effects) selfie! Also Toodaloo. You made me think of this line from Bill Murray in Stripes: "Talk about massive potential for growth... I am the acorn that becomes the mighty oak!" Indeed waaaaay more fun! 2
