Every since I switched birth control (almost 2 years ago) I have had a slight chest and back acne problem. It's not at all bad but is still embarrassing. )=

I'm tired of googling what the best product is to buy over the counter. I'd rather ask on here. So since I have a mild case do you think I can just buy a Neutrogena bar and be done with it? I want something over the counter and will not take any kind of pill either.

I have sensitive, fair skin.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Any of those salicylic acid washes from the local drug store used to work fine for me whenever I used to get acne. Reducing stress is probably the best way to go though.

I would start with nutrogena and see how it does. Let it set on your body a little while before rinsing.

isnt birth control normally supposed to help clear up acne?

Thanks guys! It's not a stress thing. /= It's mainly because of the type of bc I take and I'm sure, partly from drinking.

Birth control doesn't always help clear up acne. I've read up about my birth control and it actually causes women to break out. It's not the best but I hate switching BCs. It's a generic bc but a lot of women take generic brands but every birth control affects every woman differently. Generic or not.

I bought the Neutrogena acne soap bar to start off with. I read that the body wash is more aggressive and I'm afraid to go that route, as my acne is only mild.

You can try Acne.org. They have products for both face/body acne.

Also, don't wear your fave outfits if you've lathered benzoyl peroxide on your body. Your clothes can stain big time! Add AHA and sunscreen (if you're baring skin) and you'll be perfect in no time!

For face, I would recommend SKII. It's soooo goooood :bunny:

All the best! I heard "Diane" is good for both BC and acne stopper?

Thanks! I'll definitely read about it.

It's not my face. It's mild acne on my chest and upper back/shoulder area. It makes me feel so self conscience. /=
