MrNate 2.0 Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 If I get called 'cute' or told I have a nice smile one more time..... Is it too much to ask to be called a 'rugged sex god' from time to time? Jeez. Objectify me a little. 6
Radu Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 I'll trade you being called 'cute' for getting 'i'm busy, maybe some other time' 99% of the time. 1
Giggle Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 It's your age. will change as you get older. Really? When does it stop cause I'm almost 35 and that's still the top thing I get called too. Cute. Last month I was even too cute ?!
Emilia Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Really? When does it stop cause I'm almost 35 and that's still the top thing I get called too. Cute. Last month I was even too cute ?! Ah, then it's the people you hang out with. Are they your age? I don't know many 35 year-olds that use the word 'cute'.
Haydn Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Really? Happens to my Mum still and she's ancient. Ah, then it's the people you hang out with. Are they your age? I don't know many 35 year-olds that use the word 'cute'.
Emilia Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Really? Happens to my Mum still and she's ancient. What, 70 year-olds use the word 'cute'?
Got it Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 What, 70 year-olds use the word 'cute'? Seriously? Maybe its geographical but "cute" is not uncommonly used in my area. I am called "cute" as well as "young looking" which I think ends up going hand in hand. Girl next door and cute describe me. Femme fatale does not. 4
Toodaloo Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Grow a beard and waft a bit of body odour around?? Just think if you are cute now you stand a chance of still being cute at 90 while everyone else is just scraggy... 1
Redhead14 Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 A man who compliments you by saying you're cute and actually pointing out a feature that stand out to him, is a gentlemanly way to express interest. A man who comes up to you and says you are smokin hot or over the top with compliments is aggressive and doesn't make the compliment feel good. It cheapens it. Just my two cents. 3

Redhead - I am pretty sure the OP is male. But maybe Mr. Nate is okay with some objectifying from men as well. 2
Giggle Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Ah, then it's the people you hang out with. Are they your age? I don't know many 35 year-olds that use the word 'cute'. 43, 38, 30.. Heck even a 22 yr old keeps calling me adorable. 1

Hmm, I have taken it as more of a lack of real interest. Smoking hot is more.. they want in your pants. Over the top ones always seem that way.
Emilia Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 There is something weird about an adult calling another one 'cute'. Might be geography as Got It said but it's just weird. I get called beautiful occasionally and I always thank the person that says it even if he is a stranger because it is such a nice thing to say. Otherwise compliments from people my age tend not to be looks-based.
Giggle Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Personally i think your stunning. Ooooo I like that one.
Redhead14 Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Redhead - I am pretty sure the OP is male. But maybe Mr. Nate is okay with some objectifying from men as well. Yeah, I missed that I guess. But the same principle applies. A woman who comes on really strong with compliments . . . still cheapens it.

I am called "cute" as well as "young looking" which I think ends up going hand in hand. Girl next door and cute describe me. Femme fatale does not. I think cute and young looking go together as well. I haven't actually been called young looking, but people boggle when I say I have a 14yr old. The majority of my pictures I do have to admit are "cute". I'll never be a femme fatale
ThaWholigan Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 I've had cute a few times - its a bit too ambiguous. Prefer sexy - at least I'm not in any doubt 3
M30USA Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 I have one that tops all of you. I grew a goatee this year and one woman commented that it was "cute". I'm 33. I was this close to shaving it off. 4

Otherwise compliments from people my age tend not to be looks-based. Yes I don't consider it necessarily as a compliment. I find it is usually because I did something fairly animated or was very earnest and find it a loving but condescending compliment. I have more doll like features so have always thought to be younger than my years. I am mid 30's and thought to be in my 20's. I am not complaining but it does get old especially in a work setting. You can be initially underestimated because of it. Probably why I am so dominant in my approach to things. To off set this piece. Puppies are cute, kittens are cute; I don't to be cute. Beautiful is okay, stunning is better, intelligent is even better, impressive would be the best compliment. 1
M30USA Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 (edited) M30usa you need scruff  Can't grow scruff. It's in my genetics. I must have some Asian genes somewhere WAY back, even though I look French/English/German. Edited October 6, 2014 by M30USA
Haydn Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 I was at a very posh party once (In Hertfordshire) When a very very posh woman in a very very small black dress said to me in a beautifully in clipped accent. `My god you look good enough to ....` I kind of melted into a hormonal daze.... 4
