MagicRat09 Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Hi all, I'm on No Contact with someone so I can get over them and return to being friends later. But I accidentally saw one of their social media posts, and they expressed that they are not doing very well right now physically or emotionally. Should I focus on my own recovery, while allowing them their space? Or should I check in and be supportive? Quite torn.
Reels Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 You need some more time for deciding that. If you contacted him now, it can be both better or worse. It can be worse if found that you really care for him, then he wouldn't be respecting. So you need to wait. 1
hedyo Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 They are not your responsibility anymore. Prioritize your own healing. 4
Haydn Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 You should not even be looking at social media. Block block block. 2

Aargh Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 MagicRat - stay focused and stick to the NC plan. It's easy to find a reason to contact but it would do no good. Take it from so keen that knows. It would set you both back. You are trying to re establish emotional independence remember. 1
Author MagicRat09 Posted October 4, 2014 Author Posted October 4, 2014 I'm out with a friend but my mind keeps going back there! Still on NC but it's agony.
