We've all heard the phrase "exes always come back" at some point. My mom just got contacted by an ex from 35 years ago. He came at her with the lines "I've thought about how I hurt you back then, I apologize and you were the one that got away". My mom told him she's happily married and has been for 30 years.

Moral of the story, exes never truely forget you. If you made an impact on their life and spent enough time together... They will always remember you. Regardless if they come crawling back or not, they wont/can't "erase" you from their lives.

My mom had the biggest smile on her face and she said it was because she always wanted the opportunity to shut him down. He cheated, left and never contacted her again.

I think that's the thing we all hope for, a chance to feel like they did care in a sense and that the tables turn so WE get to be in control the outcome - to feel validated.

If he truly wanted your mum, he couldve contacted her 35 years ago. What's the point now? Too little, too late.
