Foolish Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 I broke up with my bf of two years almost two months ago. I've met a really great guy and am considering going out with him because we are both very attracted to eachother but I'm worried that it is too soon. I feel like I'm ready but I what if I'm still on the rebound?? Please help. Is it too soon?
The_Fool Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 I think a "rebound" (or two, or three...) will almost always happen, no matter how long you wait. Sometimes, things with the new person will work out great! Other times, it may take a few "tries" before you get back into the groove of things.
Pendawn Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 I say go for it. My ex of 11 years split up with me and I went on a date about 7 weeks later, I wasn't sure I'd be "over" my ex and able to be with someone else but it's amazing how a hot guy can make you forget your hearbreak. Just be aware you may be a little more clingy/needy than you'd normally assume if you've just been hurt. But go in to it with a view of fun and I'd say you'd be okay.
Author Foolish Posted March 8, 2005 Author Posted March 8, 2005 Pendawn- my thoughts exactly! I don't want to miss out on a good time just because i got dumped! And I love the feeling... I feel like a school girl.. all butterflies and stuff. it's great!
