Sorry, i think I accidentally put this in the wrong forum before.

Today I'm not asking for myself, but for a friend (so my knowledge of the situation is limited).

My friend (A) was pursuing a girl (B) and A recently asked B out on a date. B told him no, because she was interested in another guy © at the time, BUT she said she once 'considered' being in a relationship with A.

This attraction she had for C didn't pan out, and in fact C let A know about it. Now my friend A is torn between getting over her and going for a second try.

What's your advice?

(I have a strong feeling he wants to go for her again, but he has no idea how or when.)

Edit: This is a university/college context.

Why NOT ask her out again?

She was interested in someone else before, and was honest about that. Unless A has some kind of problem with that, in and of itself (which I don't see why/how he could or would), then why not just ask her out again...whenever he next sees her or, if that won't happen for a while, just call (do not text) her.

It's not complicated...help A out by strongly urging him to not over-complicate it ;)

I know A quite well. He's caught up moreso on the 'when'.

He literally just recently asked her out and got rejected. And he literally only learned quickly after that B got rejected by C.

Should he give her time to get over her rejection? Or should he strike 'while the iron's hot'?

But I'll urge him to not over-complicate it regardless. He tends to hesitate too much when it comes these things.
