FitChick Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 (edited) That seems to be the idea behind soul2match dating website if you read the home page. Never heard of it and found it by accident. Seems to be free so if any of you brave souls want to try it out, let us know. It can't be much worse than "normal" dating websites. Can't be bothered to put up a profile to find out -- currently wrestling with a new Match profile which keeps disappearing while flooding my inbox with spam. jay1983 Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 (edited) Where the couples look like brother and sister? Edited September 22, 2014 by a LoveShack.org Moderator
Emilia Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Most defnitely not. I haven't had an interest in blue eyed blonde men since the age of 18.
lollipopspot Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 I think I look substantially different in different pictures, depending on the light and angle. Since it's photo based, and I'm guessing single photo based, then I'm not sure about this. Some people really don't photograph that true to life. I have been told I look much better IRL than photographed...unless that photograph happens to have certain lighting features. So would my matches be different depending on which photo was used?
Woggle Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Reminds me of the MeHarmony skit from SNL. Did anybody see that?
somedude81 Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 I once had a huge crush on a girl who basically looked like she could have been my sister. We had the same coloring, and body structure. She was basically me as a girl, and she was taller
Maleficent Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Well I got curious and signed up. That's free. But if you want to use the website you have to pay. So that's where I'm out lol 1
OwMyEyeball Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 I think there was a Seinfeld episode about this ... OKNarcissisus.com or PlentyOfMes.com would have been better web names. 2
Author FitChick Posted September 23, 2014 Author Posted September 23, 2014 Well I got curious and signed up. That's free. But if you want to use the website you have to pay. So that's where I'm out lol How do they match you? Photos only? What sort of profile do you have to create? What if they matched you with one of your relatives who, unbeknownst to you, signed up on the same site?
Supernatural Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Reminds me of the MeHarmony skit from SNL. Did anybody see that? I tired watching it. Can only be viewed from in the USA. I hate when websites do that. I think there was a Seinfeld episode about this ... Hahha ya I remember that episode. The woman Jerry! Lol.
Andy_K Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Can't say this appeals. I've got dark hair but much prefer blondes for a start, and there other facial features (eyebrows, chin, cheek lines) where I've got preferences that differ from my own appearance. The only physical aspect I would pick someone similar to myself in is with regards to general fitness, being in shape with low body fat. I notice they point out that many happy couples look very alike. I wonder if that's just a combination of being a similar attractiveness level and living a similar lifestyle, rather than any deeper connection to people who look like you do?
you_can_not_see_me Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 I do run into attractive girls once in a while who have some minor similarities to me in their facial features, but they still look different. for example some girls have very similar eye shapes to myself and some of their facial expressions look similar, but on the whole they still look pretty different. If a girl looked exactly like me that would be kinda creepy.
Lernaean_Hydra Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 OKNarcissisus.com or PlentyOfMes.com would have been better web names. I laughed so hard at this I'll gasping for air. Oh my god! I'm almost, almost tempted to try this site but honestly, one of me is enough.
MissBee Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Nope. Not at all. I can't even fathom my features in a man as they're just too soft and girly that any man who looked like me would be very effeminate looking and that's just not my preference. I understand the notion of similar levels of attractiveness but not looking for someone who could be the male version of me looks wise.
Maleficent Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 How do they match you? Photos only? What sort of profile do you have to create? What if they matched you with one of your relatives who, unbeknownst to you, signed up on the same site? Well I logged off as soon as I saw it cost money. But you have to upload a picture of your face and I guess the matching is done be matching facial attributes. To be honest though, the couple they are using as an example look nothing alike. As far as being matched with a family member, that happened to me on Eharmony so... lol
Trane Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Each new face is like a pot of gold! Everyone has tasty goodness to them but it's all in eyes of the looker. Chocolate covered maraschino cherries might be someones favourite, but not mine. I prefer a woman who's lifestyle and interest of activities is conducive to my lifestyle. Physically though, I do like healthy women with a little meat on their bones. Voluptuous women absolutely rock!

still_an_Angel Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Creepy! I already have a twin brother. Hmm, maybe we should sign up to test if they match us up hahaha
