Have you ever gotten an "excuse" to cancel a date that was real? As in you set up another date and that date actually happened? (I.e. it wasn't a blow off.)

How often have you been in a situation where it seemed like a blow off but turned out not to be? If ever...

Or did they all turn out to be blow offs?

Sure, it can be a real excuse. But if it's a first or second date, the odds go down that there's really a good excuse. I mean, who died? Accepting any old excuse is bad because some people are just disorganized fickle flakes. And if whoever cancels doesn't recontact you to reschedule, that's probably a blowoff or very bad form.

Ok that makes sense. I've been dating this guy almost 2 mos and he cancelled our date...said he wasn't feeling good and my mind instantly thought about all the blow off and disappearing guys posts here N freaked me out.

Basically all of cancelled dates that I have experienced in the last year since I started dating again have been blow offs. It sucks but what can you do. Did he have the flu or something? That's probably the only way I'd miss a date if I was sick. Check for other signs of disinterest and you'll get your answer...In fact, I called out a girl recently on being a flake and wasting my time (in a nice way of course). But there is a possibility that he was actually sick.
