antineutrino Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 I know this is obviously early, but I figured I'd ask now anyway. My (1 year) anniversary with my GF is right around Christmas. Since we're trying to budget for a new place next year, I figured I'd get her one present and then plan a really nice dinner for the anniversary. I was thinking of getting her a Wii U (and some games) since I know she loved playing older Nintendo consoles growing up. On the other hand, I was thinking of getting her some really nice earrings that she could wear everyday. One of my friends suggested the Wii U since there will be many more opportunities to give her jewelry in the future and we'll get a lot more entertainment out of it. But another friend suggested the earrings because I don't want to come across as the oblivious boyfriend who got something unromantic for her on our first Christmas/Anniversary. What do you guys think?
d0nnivain Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 I think that is a disproportionately expensive gift for a dating anniversary especially if you are on a budget. Get her a $25 bouquet of flowers & a mushy card instead.
sdrawkcaB ssA Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 I love stuff like that... simple stuff that makes it special in showing affection. Games, and electronics is the last thing a woman wants. Though if she is a gamer girl, then an Xbox will be up her alley. Just like the person stated... too expensive and it really is a generic gift. I would tell you what to get, but she is not my GF. So I leave it up to you... there are at least a dozen wee ways to get the right gift that won't be looked at as an expensive gift. All you have to do is let your heart and passions speak out to you... the best way is take a trip out to the shopping center and enjoy looking for what your heart tells you. You know your relationship... so don't be too embarrassed to go looking in places just for women. Enjoy your Anniversary, and Xmas to boot!
