Armegoggon Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Is it a good idea for an online dating username to be a city they live in? For example, if one lived in Lakeland, is "lakeland" a good username?
Jules Dash Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 No. Use your first or middle name. It's more personal and approachable.
sdrawkcaB ssA Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 any name you want... but i would not expect Hitler to be popular. It really does not matter, being witty may catch peeps eye. It is how you want yourself to be seen, and would like to be appreicated for, not what you are not. 1
smackie9 Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Some use a clever name, or something funny to catch people's attention.
HeartDesires Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 If you want to incorporate your city in your username name you could use something like "LakelandArmegoggon", "LakelandDude" or "SleeplessinLakeland".......
angel.eyes Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Your username is like a headline. Pick something that will catch the reader's eye and convey enough about you that she wants to click on your profile and read further. Getting someone to click on your profile is the first hurdle in getting someone online to date you. No clicks-->no dates. Lakeland does nothing for me personally. Unless you sent a good email or had a profile pic that really caught my eye, I would scroll right past it. It tells me nothing new about you (since OLD sites list your location anyway). It doesn't jump out. Be a little more creative in picking a username.
