Eddy Street Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 I met a girl on match 4 weeks ago, the first two weeks we chatted online and talked on the phone. Then two weeks ago we went on our first date, then last Saturday we went on our second date. After that we talked on the phone a bit, but later she texted me that she wants me to meet her brother and her friend (who also happens to be her ex). I took a while (5 hours) to reply to the text but agreed. The next day she texted me "how goes it" in the evening, around 11 PM. I was tired and not feeling very well so I didn't reply until the next day. That was yesterday. I haven't heard anything form her since. So is it over just like that?

But it sounds like you guys take a long time in between texts, as much as a day. Why are you assuming that it's over? What did your last text to her say?

What did your last text to her say? Well, that's my tendency, she usually replies right away. The last text she sent me: "how goes it?" at 11 PM on Monday. My reply: "really busy, lots of administrative stuff at work!" at around 2 PM yesterday. No reply since. Normally she would reply no more than an hour after receiving the text, if she was at work, and right away if she wasn't. Actually I was hoping it would end since the awkward ex boyfriend roommate thing. It spares me the trouble of having to explain to her why I'm not comfortable with meeting him.

Ah...I haven't followed your story, will have to go catch up. But honestly, my read on this exchange, just from this thread, is that you sound like you're not interested. Your last text came after a long time and was fairly uncommunicative (didn't further any kind of conversation or anything). So that's probably why she stopped replying quickly. Cooling it down to where you are, or even just taking the hint. But if you're not interested anyway, then there you are! 1

We had an art museum date on Saturday and she came dressed in old, dirty sneakers (green because she mowed the lawn the day before) and old t-shirt, which looked like it was washed 1000 times and jeans with a similar degree of weathering. She really stood out.
No Limit Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 and her friend (who also happens to be her ex) Oh boy... why did you have to meet the ex?

Yeah, for some reasons that evade me, I always attract the most exceptional individuals LOL. Friends too, always the oddest people. Maybe I just look like one of them.

Doesn't sound like much to be over with to begin with. True, but then again, this was my first non-formal encounter with a female since 2009. If anything, I could have gotten more practice as a chemist.
