lisacolnett Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Hey there, I saw a couple at cafe spot yesterday. The man was very old (maybe in 60s) but his girlfriend was too hot, sexy and young, around 25. I wonder how these olders can manage to date such a hot young girl. ... Just curious!
Priv Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Let that be a lesson to you kids. Stay in school and don't do drugs and before you know it you are 60 with a hot wife 2
Leigh 87 Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 It's called being a gold digger. Or, alternatively, it is when a woman is psychologically disturbed that she reverts to older men who are twice their age.
Yookie Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Maybe it was his daughter or granddaughter? 4

It could be what Yookie suggested. I go out to the store, bookstores, Home Depot and such, with my Dad.
stillafool Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ That's how! Nothing new, this has been going on for ages!!!
Ruby Slippers Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 He pays for it, and she sells herself, most likely. 1
central Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Not all such relationships are based on money or psychological problems, though of course some are and that fuels a stereotype or myth. The larger the age gap, the more some people will question the motives, but sometimes it really is just about compatibility and love.

And not a daughter -- or what's more difficult to determine the difference of -- a secretary, co-worker, etc that he flirts with some and she allows it? You will see some good-looking-for-their-age older men in their 50s/60s with a gal who's in her mid-20s, where there's Proof that they're beyond platonic. He's got money, and she has an affinity for older guys. If he's Not good looking for his age (not in reasonably good shape, etc) -- it could easily be an escort or a gal who's sleeping with her boss, allowing him to move her up in the company and pay for meals/drinks, etc. It happens!
HeartbrokenNewbie Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 "Young girls" you said it x poor bloke will never know real love x
loveboid Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 I've seen it the other way. I thought maybe the younger was looking for fun...trips, dining, experience, confidence from being with someone successful, exploring the world, but that would end when the fun did.
Assasda Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 I think there is a significant number of girls that like older men
Phoe Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Are you positive it was a girlfriend? I have lunch with my dad maybe once a month. I'm mid 20's he's mid 60's. Once a waiter thought I was his wife. WTF!!!
aprilisi Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 It isn't always about money. My friend married a 57 year old when she was 21. He's not rich, but lives comfortably ten years later They have two kids and she loves him more than ever. I had a lot of talks with her when I started to seriously consider dating a man 17 years younger than me
Gloria25 Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 I think it's sad... How can you be with someone knowing that the only reason they are with you is cuz you're paying for their time? But, all that glitters isn't gold. I've heard of stories where these "poor old guys" treat those women like property....cuz this "exchange" of goods (money) for services (companionship/sex) is not done like in a normal and loving situation (i.e. a marriage). These rich guys literally just see their 'women' as an extension of the property they display to promote their 'status'.
RedRobin Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 (edited) Right. It could be what Yookie suggested. I go out to the store, bookstores, Home Depot and such, with my Dad. Yea, me too. My Dad sometimes comes to visit me (out of state) while my mom stays home and guards the fort. Twice in the past 7 years or so he has stayed for a month or two... if the project is big enough. He and I look nothing alike in the face. I bet a few people thought the same thing as the OP. I laugh and say "He's my DAD, NOT MY DATE!!" Jeez. I also have several male friends who are younger, same age, and a couple who are MUCH older. We go out to lunch, go ride motorcycles, go sailing, running, etc... basically guy stuff that my female friends don't like to do. A couple of them are the husbands of my very good female friends. Never slept with any of them and never will. Just because a younger woman is hanging out with an older man doesn't mean diddly in terms of romance. Edited September 10, 2014 by RedRobin 1
