jeffmeyers Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Thankfully, it hasn't happened to me in a while, but when it happens, it's a total mismatch between physical and mental attraction. Like "wow, This girl is really pretty" to later finding out she's a shallow brat or something. I think deep down, the possibility of getting together with that person, physically anyway, is tempting. But there was once or twice where despite strong physical attraction, it was just impossible to overlook the strong dislike for the person.
d0nnivain Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Sure. There are a couple of celebrities who I think are quite nice to look at but some of the stuff they say & do turns my stomach.
Author jeffmeyers Posted September 9, 2014 Author Posted September 9, 2014 Sure. There are a couple of celebrities who I think are quite nice to look at but some of the stuff they say & do turns my stomach. Maybe it's just me, but I find seeing someone on TV or in magazines is not the same as seeing them in person a few feet away from you. There's just something missing in the media, that doesn't quite convey the physical presence of people.
gaius Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Some of the women I'm most attracted to have the ability to annoy me on a regular basis. And I'm pretty zen most of the time, that's no easy feat. 1
Xiang Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Ofc...i mean u always fall for the looks firs... But if their personality is awfull then i lose all interest and don't want to do anything with them even if i do consider them hot.
No Limit Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Yeah. A guy that was rather shy at first, but since I was sitting two tables behind him I secretly glanced at him all the time. Well, a b!tch and former bully of mine took care of that and for the class he became a womanizer and part time bully to fit into the pack. Still the mere sight of him could make my day a little better. Of course my attraction ceased in time until it was gone, and that one time he tried laying his arm around my shoulders I pushed him away. I'm rather head-driven though, even in those times I still felt the butterflies I would have never even wanted to meet him outside of school, nothing.
evanescentworld Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Ever been attracted to someone you don't like? Thankfully, it hasn't happened to me in a while, but when it happens, it's a total mismatch between physical and mental attraction. Like "wow, This girl is really pretty" to later finding out she's a shallow brat or something. Well, your title doesn't match your opener... What you mean to say was, have you ever strongly fancied anyone, but then been turned off by what a jackass they were? If I don't like someone already, first off, no matter how attractive they are, they would just turn my stomach. If I really liked someone, and they turned out to be a prime jerk, then my attraction to them would evaporate. I think the general consensus of opinion would be that, no matter how gorgeous someone is, there's no 'ding-a-ling' if they're a nasty piece of work to boot....
