They both lived in germany. chatted to her for nearly 2 months. ups and downs during those 2 months. she flew to london to see me with her friend. i travelled from bristol to london to see her for the weekend. we went to to a club i got tickets for and she and her friend talked in german all night and got off with another guy in front of me then kicked me out the club for harassing her. so after a two weeks of chatting i tell her i always wanted to go berlin and we organised to go and meet there for a weekend. she lives in munich. me: Nice. Most importantly, two years later and you are still focusing on this exchange? LDR takes effort, commitment and most of all patience. It's difficult to manage and most times hard to sustain. She lost interest. And it didn't help that you were clingy because when someone is losing interest, clinging makes the other person run further and find you even less attractive. 1

Not the relationship itself. I can understand some reminiscing over an old flame, maybe even having some tough emotions come from that. But taking it to the level of seeking "closure" or pining for further understanding is a far stretch. Has this been bothering you for the past 2 years? Or did this all come roaring back to you recently?
Author fred123 Posted September 9, 2014 Author Posted September 9, 2014 im trying to move on. i did try rekindle communication with her but she hates me i think. the questions i had where why did she say after all this that i was stupid to think we were only just friends? should i have been more sexual in my conversation with her? should i have demanded that we stuck to the original plan of us meeting by ourselves? did i ever have a chance or was i always friendzoned? How do i avoid getting miscommunication like this again?

You created an image in your head, OP. And with these types of interactions, it's easy to get caught up with the fantasy. People can write and say anything, but it comes down to their actions. In the end she showed you how she really felt. And how she treated you at the club was a red flag for you. 1

You got emotionally involved with an image you created over technology. What you need to focus on is why after two years you are still crippled by someone you hardly even knew -- and no, what you had over skype/phone/text isn't enough to get to know someone. Author fred123 Posted September 10, 2014 Author Posted September 10, 2014 im seeing a therapist at the moment. i just wanted help on the reading and understanding of women side. i wanted people to tell me where and when her interest changed and how would ihave known. im bad at reading women like i said. for example why would she change the original plans for me to fly to her? surely iv been hearing women on here say that they prefer a man to fly to them first. why would she change the plans and then say im coming to london and also with her friend?! is that a sign of no interest??

I said this to you before. People create images in their head, when they're dealing with these types of virtual interactions. She probably liked talking to you. You fed her attention. Fed her ego. She had something to look forward to -- a guy chasing her. And I said this before, LDRs take effort and commitment. And if she was never really invested in this, it was almost certain that her interest would wane. And it did. By her actions at the club, it was apparent that she was never fully invested. You keep harping on the past. When you start seeing red flags, walk away. That's the lesson you learn. And date women that are local and that you can actually date and foster a real relationship with. Two things that you take away from your experience with her. Stop trying to nitpick at this. You're not really wanting to learn from it but more so you are still obsessed with why she lost interest. Edited September 10, 2014 by Zahara
Author fred123 Posted September 23, 2014 Author Posted September 23, 2014 for sure i want to know why she lost interest. peace of mind i guess. but that is also about me learning too no? i want to know when i should have ejected and if i should have ever even met with her? i did a week before feel like she wasnt interested os i told her i wont come see her. she got mad and called me an idiot. but i knew she wasnt interested and it wasnt going to go how i wanted. why should i have still travelled so far knowing she wasnt interested. also how do u handle situations like the one i had? refusing to skype etc. what do i do to progress things next time? i acutally need real constructive criticism as to exactly how i should i have handled each situation. what do i do next time i come across a similar girl?
