Both of these are obviously double standards; one favors the girl and the other benefits the guy. Which one would you say is worse and upsets you the most?

a) Girl apparently had no problems groping several guys at school but if a guy does this, he gets reported, it's sexual harrassment and can even get labeled a pervert. In her story, one guy actually didn't like it but doesn't report it. Girl thinks it's funny but would not like it done to her.

b) Guy apparently has a total hatred towards women that have sex with multiple guys in one day (he called them ''damage good'') but he has slept around himself as his replies starts progressing. He sure has no problems being a user just like his friends and brother and then talking bad about the women he slept with but believes he deserves a decent woman when he gets married.

The trouble is, the first item can be construed as physical/sexual assault and could become a legal matter; in which case, both perpetrators deserve the same treatment or punishment, regardless of gender.

The second item is a question of mixed morals and double standards on the part of the men. Nothing illegal going on here; just some jerk who can't see that he's being a total jerk.

so really, I think the second example swings it for me.

Not to say anyone should be groping anyone at school, but a female doing it is mitigated by the fact that the biggest percentage of assaults are male against female and that this is true because men have more physical strength than women and the fear of such attack is so much a part of our survival that it's ingrained and instinctual. Guys don't have the instinctual fear of women, so I do think there's a difference in threat level there. But that is not to say this woman isn't totally out of line and needs to be reported if she's groping their genitals or like that at school. If she's just grabbing them and flirting, she'll get away with that her whole life and men will mostly like it.

The double standard with guys who want to sleep with any girl they can but think they're too good to marry them is the one that turns my stomach.
