Lovebite Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 I just want to hear what you all think. Well me and my guy friend were out and we saw a baseball player that looked exactly like our friend Paul. Paul is a guy I have been liking lately so I act like a damn teenager all shy and awkward haha. so my guy friend calls Paul up puts him on speakerphone to tell him he looks like this baseball player, and I said "He looks exactly like you!" and then he said "So he must be good looking then?" and my friend paused, and then I just laughed. I feel so terrible now! Cause I noticed Paul was silent, cause I just laughed like a damn loser! Lol, I just hope he didn't get offended, cause I didn't say "Yeah" or anything, so if you were him how would you take it? Would you take it like the girl insulted you? Cause she laughed? I know if it were me and I said that and the guy just laughed I would take it as he's saying basically I am not good looking. Or would you think she was nervous or awkward? Not think much of it?
Mrin Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Overthinking it. I wouldn't have been insulted at all.
TigerLilly78 Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Yeah this is text book me I do stuff like this all the time and then over think it to death as well eh my reaction would have been to laugh as if he was joking rather then to take it seriously but then again ide kinda hope it was meant as a joke cause other wise dude is sorta fishing for complements..
Jules Dash Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 He was just joking when he said he must be good looking. I think the laughing afterward is just ambiguous but here is a tip. Right after that awkward laughing would have been the perfect time to ask him out while he was disoriented from the whole thing. It would have come out of the left field.
guest569 Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 No, he was just joking around so a laugh is probably appropriate. 1
Diezel Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Overthinking *clap clap clap clap clap* Overthinking *clap clap clap clap clap* Seriously, if he gets offended by that... 1
Author Lovebite Posted September 7, 2014 Author Posted September 7, 2014 Thanks guys lol. Well some of you said you would feel insulted and some of said you wouldn't so I guess it's a toss up. Yeah I overthink things when I like someone, I just hope I didn't screw it up or hurt his feelings

Mrin Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Again, if you are concerned, ask him out, he would feel a lot better if he was insulted and you may finally get your crush out on a date. This. Do it now.
xxJuliexx Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Sounds like he was fishing for compliments from you. I don't know him, so I don't know if he's the type that will let that go, or if he's the type that will take it at heart, cause he likes you too. Cause when someone likes the other one they over think and over analyze so they take EVERYTHING at heart. Whether it's good or bad, they take it at heart. But see....I don't know if he likes you how the way you like him cause if he does then most likely he took a blow to his ego, and he probably did feel insulted. If he is neutral with you then no, he probably let it go, and didn't think of it. It really all depends, I would have to know him to get a full understanding of everything, but if I were him I would take it as you're shy and you laughed, because it was nervous laughter. I do that myself so....I wouldn't worry about it!
mightycpa Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Thanks guys lol. Well some of you said you would feel insulted and some of said you wouldn't so I guess it's a toss up. Yeah I overthink things when I like someone, I just hope I didn't screw it up or hurt his feelings It is an opening, a good excuse to call him up and say something like: YOU: "hey Paul, remember when guyfriend called you up and we told you about that baseball player that looked exactly like you?" HIM: "Yeah" YOU: "I actually DO THINK he's really good looking. What are you doing later today, you wanna go ___________________________?"
OwMyEyeball Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Completely innocent He made a joke. You laughed. All is well in the universe.
