itsmylife Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Hi my husband is leaving for a month back home to help his family in Nepal. He hasnt even gone yet and I'm already experiencing major depression. He leaves Thursday next week I'm literally sitting here on my couch with watery eyes crying just thinking about it. What can I do to cope with this?
troubledhusband Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 My wife recently asked me for a divorce and it has been the hardest thing to deal with. In your case it sounds just a passing phase where he needs to go help out his family. I would advise you to either go with him if you can even if you can only take a few weeks off work. He will need your support while he helps his family (any man secretly loves his wife's support even when he does not make it so obvious). If that's not a possibility, then I can only tell you what helped me cope with my wife leaving me. Surround yourself with friends and spend as much time as you can with them. Pick up a good healthy activity such as joining a gym or a new sport. And don't forget to Skype with him each night. Before you know it, he'll be back.
