Confuzzled_Mitchell Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 I have a friend, and well, to tell you the truth I love her. We have been good friends for about 1 1/2 years now, and I want to ask her out, but I don't know if it is the right time. Here are some signs: She jokes with me a laughs with me a lot. She calls me. If I say I like something of hers, such as a certain shirt or when she makes her hair wavy, the next day she wears that shirt/does her hair. She likes to hang around me a lot. If someone is chasing her (horseplay) she always hides behind me, never anyone else. All of these things may sound stupid, I am still in grade 9, but well, I was starting to think ... Tell me if this sounds like any kind of sign?
Pocky Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 Well everything you stated sounds platonic to me. Is she dating anyone now? Has she dated anyone since you've known her? Has she ever compared her boyfriend at the time to you?
greeneyedgirl23 Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 I think you should flirt with another girl when she is around, if she looks uncomfortable, or jealous, you know the answer! Or if when you are flirting with someone else, she makes her presence obvious (being louder or looking at you while talking to another person) she is jealous and probably has a crush on you too. I also ask, does she have bf? keep us posted!
Confuzzled_Mitchell Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 No, she doesn't have a bf presently, but she did have one. Although, with this bf only around me does she ever bring up how annoying and "stupid" he was. He never compares him to me. Is this a good thing?
greeneyedgirl23 Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 yes that is a good thing. It sounds like she is over him and wants you to know it. Just try to make her a little jealous, like I suggested before. I am curious to find out her reaction. Have some fun with it!
