Mommame2 Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 If you are going to a party and you know your ex is going to be there... Should you warn your current boyfriend? Or does that make it worse? 1
Mrin Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 If you are going to a party and you know your ex is going to be there... Should you warn your current boyfriend? Or does that make it worse? I would. Also let's you do any damage control ahead of time.
acrosstheuniverse Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 I would like to know if I was going to be hanging out with boyfriend's ex, I'd feel I had been kept in the dark and feel a bit silly. It's just respectful. Only talking about serious exes though, I don't care if I'm going to be around some girl my boyfriend has dated in the past or slept with outside of being in a relationship... more the serious people he was once in love with. 1

I'd want to know even if it wasn't serious, in case someone else mentions something to me at the party, then I'd be prepared.
Supernatural Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 If you are going to a party and you know your ex is going to be there... Should you warn your current boyfriend? Or does that make it worse? Honesty is the best. They would appreciate that you told them; well should. But if they knew you knew ahead of time and didn't say anything, that's where trouble could brew.
Zippy2000 Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 I would definitely say. Reason is if you don't. In the future your current boyfriend may think you're hiding things from him. Just be open and tell Jim he was someone from the past.
Diezel Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 You better tell him. If not, that might create an awkward moment later on. And trust me, we know. It's happened to me. Not fun.
