jaibon3 Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Alright, so here's the situation: One day as I was hanging out with my very outgoing friend, she introduced me to another one of her friends, this nerdy looking guy. At first he did not impress me, though I did think he was cute, however, after a few more times of all of us hanging out, I have developed quite the crush on him. He is pretty socially awkward, as in, he doesn't catch on when girls like him. He's 25 and I'm 19. (I know, he's a bit older). But he's very funny and extremely smart, and both of those traits appeal to me. I decided to try to talk to him through social media, as in person it was not working (I am rather shy myself, pretty introverted and quiet). This has been going well. We were never really online at the same time until a few nights ago, and we talked for like 2 hours about common interests and the like. My friend (the one that introduced us) keeps telling me she thinks I should ask him out, but I really don't even know how to go about doing that. Should I initiate more contact, wait for him to initiate...or...? What should I do haha?

Author jaibon3 Posted September 3, 2014 Author Posted September 3, 2014 He's just the typical socially awkward -- not a lot of eye contact, super quiet/not talkative with people he does not know, not the best at knowing what to talk about/starting conversation, etc. And I know this because another one of my friends liked him a couple years ago but, even though she flirted constantly with him, when she finally got the nerve up to kiss him, it completely took him by surprise. He had no idea.
