HeartDesires Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 It can happen to anyone, not just the elderly. I was frequently asking people to repeat themselves. I decided to get tested and was shocked to learn I have significant hearing loss in both ears. Hearing aids cost thousands of dollars, but fortunately my insurance covered it, with free batteries for life. When I was younger I would listen to loud music with headphones on...likely the contributing factor. Just a little reminder to always protect your precious hearing.

I listened to music quite loudly with headphones to drown out the bus noise, and played in lots of loud bands. Thafully its not too bad but as an aspiring musician it did a bit of damage
