Why does he keep trying to date me when I said "I am not into players"?

Right on.

This is the player test. The player is persistent until either the girl gives in or she goes completely cold on him.

If OP truly wants him gone she does one of the following:

A) Tell him she is seeing someone else

B) Block him on social media and her phone

C) Call the police and ask them if they can call him to let him know to leave her alone.

Yeah I told him I had a boyfriend once. It still didn't stop him. Like I said, I don't see him often or talk to him often. I only see him when it's our friends that are having a get together, or a party, or if one of our friends invites me and him and other people out etc. Other than that I don't talk to him. I am trying to be nice about it and I thought by me saying "I am not into players" and me calling him out saying he's a "player" would make it clear enough to him that obviously I won't go for him. Thank you for your feedback!

Just tell him you didn't want to hurt his feelings but you just don't find him attractive. Ignore him politely ever after.

Uh. You're a conquest who "doesn't like players", so basically he's going to try, do, and say anything he can to bone you.

Pretty simple. I'd ignore him. The fact you're trying to analyze his behavior shows he's getting under your skin (and has a place in your head).

^^This is true. Men want a challenge just the same as women do as you can very well see cant you?

I think I would be more direct and say "I am not into you," if saying "I am not into players" proved to be ineffective.

It's the police's job to solve crime. Even if you think he's an ill-mannered player, nothing this man has done is remotely a crime. Suggesting gov't involvement is a waste of resources. It also diminishes the claims of legitimate victims.

xxJuliexx -- Do NOT call the police!

You're not seeing my point. She calls the local police station and tells an officer that this guy just won't get the hint and if they could politely tell him to buzz off, as she has tried and it's not working. Officer calls and says: "Mr. X, we got a call from OP and you need to leave her alone. She's not mad at you, but she wants to be left alone. Understood?"

We pay tax dollars to have these guys protect us... why not have them make a courtesy call?

Because their jobs are to solve crimes. This is a not a crime. To invite the government into a private matter is against the constitution which kept the government away from the people. Also it's a waste of scare valuable time & resources. While the officer is doing this, that officer is not dealing with an actual crime.

What you are asking is a crime: It's call malicious abuse of process -- seeking to use government officials & resources for something other than their appointed function.

Well OP I don't have more suggestions, you have plenty on here, but let us know what worked because I'm struggling with a similar problem. Except I already slept with this guy. Months ago. Now he is nagging me to go out and he has tons of women on the go! I've been avoiding him and keep saying no, I don't particularly want to come down on him as a ton of bricks, precisely because we slept together but maybe I'll have to. I think his 'relationships' with 'girlfriends' are based on a push/pull dynamic so I guess it's all about some weird dysfunction

If he's bothering her to the point where he won't listen to her, no harm in asking your local police man or police woman to help you out. It's not a crime at all.

Your brothers need to shut this guy off from invading your space. That's what brothers are for. Why are they enabling this guy. With them letting him in, you can't even go no contact. He's using them to get next to you. Stalkers do that, use family and friends to get info on you and get access to you. You need to talk to your brothers and if they don't stop enabling him, then you need to talk to your dad and tell HIM to talk to your brothers or to that little creep directly. Thereafter, refuse all contact.

Oh my! Sorry you are going through the same thing! That must be hard...Yeah I will give an update, but I really don't know when I will see him cause I live on my own and go to college and work, so I visit home every other weekend, I am not around my house that much. I don't talk to him either, so it might be awhile before I give and update or maybe not, it just all depends really. Thank you, and I hope everything works out for you too! :)

Hmmmm...funny how you say that! Cause he seems to be trying to come over my house for extra "work" like landscaping and what not. He's trying to talk to my mom about it and my dad. I am not home often though. I am only home on the weekends or every other weekend cause I live on my own and work and go to college. I am only 20 mins away from home, so I if I do have free time I will randomly show up, to say "hi". A lot of the time when I did that he was there, so I see what you are saying. I didn't think of that. My brothers don't enable him, they don't even know what's going on. I didn't tell my brothers what he is doing, cause I know for a fact it will create drama and trouble and I don't need that....besides I don't see him that often. I only see him if our friends are having a party or something or when I visit home and my brother(s) are hanging out with him.

Hmmm...just to throw this in there, I found it odd that he always wanted to do something with my dad. Like he always wants to go to concerts and what not and he asks if I am going all the time. I went to a show with him and my dad and my brother once and he was acting like as if I was his girlfriend or something. It was kinda strange...but I noticed after that he has been trying to set events up with my dad and what not. Interesting that you mentioned that! Uh oh! :(

Thank you all so much for your replies! I do appreciate it! I will give an update! But it might not be soon, cause like I said I don't see him that often, and I don't talk to him or text him or anything like that. It's only when I see him is when I will be able to tell him sternly that I am not interested. It might be soon though! It just all really depends cause of my schedule and me not living at home etc. Or if my friends are having an event. I just have to wait and see, and then I will give an update, thanks!

Also anyone else that wants to comment please feel free to do so. I am just letting everyone know I will be giving an update though! :)

This is your problem, don't say the above because it sounds like you are kidding with him or inviting him to prove he is not a player. Just tell him "I am not interested in dating you." Don't smile when you say it. Just tell him that and walk away.
