Miketastic Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 Long story short, me and my ex broke up in March, we are both 19 and eachothers first love. We kept texting untill about 3/4 weeks ago. She broke up with me because she thought we were more like brother and sister, since the breakup we both have dated other people. My grandpa is in the hospital (probably nothing extreme) and all of a sudden I got a text from my ex saying: Ex: Hey why is your grandpa in the hospital? Ex: You don't have to respond if you don't want to. Me: Oh it's nothing too serious. Ex: Oh okay This is the entire conversation, I'm glad that she broke NC because I usually was the one that did. But at the same time it makes me feel sick, I was doing so well in progressing and now I am asking myself all these questions like: - Is she texting me to be nice or is there more to it? - Should I do nothing or text her back? - Is this just an excuse to try to talk to me? I know alot of you are probably dissapointed because I responded when she said that I didn't have to if I didn't want to but it just felt like the right thing, I mean she was my girlfriend for more then 1.5 years.. But what does this mean, breadcrumbs? Should I talk to her? I do still want her back although I'm not desperate anymore. Please help I'm confused
frigginlost Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 If she had met your grandfather, it is her being nice. If she had not, it's her being nice in regards to you. In both cases, it means nothing really. Sorry man, I know it's rough, but there is nothing in what she said that should be construed as testing the waters in getting back together.
