2003md2 Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 Advice? A friend set up a blind date lunch with a fellow professional. We hit it off over the phone. He called 5x over 2wks & we finally managed to get together for lunch at a famous local hot dog place we had talked about both liking. We felt so comfortable together that we got it and ate in the car ( you can't eat there) on the waterfront and talked nonstop for an hour but made no concrete future plans on leaving. I thanked him and said it was good to finally meet you. He said "well, I'll definiteley get you out of the house from time to time - it's hard to meet people around here." He's a 35 yr old never been married successful very busy business man self-employed (2 businesses - 1 out of town & rehabbing a historic house) & I'm an attorney - separated (not divorced) single mom of a 19 month-old. (Oh - today is Monday - we went to lunch Friday but he was out of town over the weekend and he frequently went quite a while between calls...)

I got the advice to not call and wait for him and guess what, he did. Sit tight, like everyone told me and he will call you within a week probably. Dating is crazy, isn't it.

tanbark813 Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 I would guess he meant that he would be up for hanging out again but was playing it cool. He probably didn't give much thought to how he phrased it.
