WesternWizard Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 There's OLD (declining), speed dating (doing ok), video dating (nearly dead), the cold approach (always chancy but at least there's no middleman), etc etc... I'm surprised no one in the make-a-quick-buck crowd has put together "interview-style dating"---you pay some insane fee, then browse the pics and set up an interview (like a job interview) with each person you pick. I can see how this would be like pulling teeth for some people, but hey, it would work for me! Plus I know that a lot of guys would try it just so they could say "duh---ahhuhhuh---duhhhh" and feign imbecility to a woman face-to-face!
jacktheripper Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 Thanks for the idea, going to dragons den with this 2
Lernaean_Hydra Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 Great idea. But, now that you've put it out there, don't be surprised when it's the newest reality show on Bravo or A&E next month. 1
KatZee Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 I mean honestly, this is like speed dating. You get a new candidate every 5 minutes, and in those 5 minutes you have to find out everything you can to decide if you'd like to date them further. I did speed dating and it was essentially like interviewing every guy, and it's the reason I hated it.
OwMyEyeball Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 Never ceases to amaze me how much we've analyzed, compartmentalized, categorized and repackaged some of the most basic human experiences to the point of social neurosis. I'm a part of the whole mess, but damned if I don't want to find a way out and start being a ****ing human from time to time. 1
Keenly Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 Now exactly is this going to be any different from the current state of online dating, and why would ANYONE pay a fee to be a part of yet another meat market. The men will behave the same. The women will behave the same.
Author WesternWizard Posted August 16, 2014 Author Posted August 16, 2014 Yeah, no matter how unpleasant or half-baked it is, some slicko out there will try to get rich off of it, and one dumb sucker who gets lucky with it will become its pitch person.
isisisweeping Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 You're telling me I can combine all the excitement and fun of being interviewed for a job with the personal rejection of dating? take my money!

newmoon Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 this doesn't sound genius. isn't this what video dating is? you read a profile, see the video and get set up. every date is an interview anyway.
PinkElephants Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 Look up The Millionaire Matchmaker. Millionaires pay a fee, the matchmaker fills a room with hot gold diggers, the millionaires pick two to interview and take one on a date
GemmaUK Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 I've been on dates with guys that were like interviews....
