My girlfriend of 2.5 years just broke up with me recently. Past couple months

have not been the best. She started lying to me and going out/partying more.

She finally told me about it and we had a long talk and she said I was what she

wanted. We patched it up and started again but then she lied again last week.

Last night she spoke to me and told me she sees a future and doesn't see

herself with anyone else. She saw me as her husband but she doesn't see how

we can get to that point. Said she checked out of the relationship 2 weeks ago.

Just within that 2 week period she told me she knew I am the one she wants.

I just don't understand if you feel so strongly that you let fighting get in the

way. I am so beyond devastated. I had every intention of marrying her...

She's gotta be talking to someone else the way she is going back and forth. I'd say sit back and she what she does.

She doesn't see a future, she is seeing someone else. Excommunicate the trash.

Which is what I was worried about. I spoke in depth with her. She promised none of that is going on and that she is not interested in anyone else but me. Just hasn't been happy the past couple of weeks/month

If I had a fraction of one penny for every time a dumper said something similar, I would rival an oil tycoon.

Cut her off 100%, let her realize in time what she lost...

Yeah I went NC. Since that conversation. There is a chance if I stay away that she'll wake up with the biggest regret and that'll she'll want me back?

Dude, I can speak for everyone here that this screams typical G.I.G.S. behavior

Partying, constant going back and forth, doesn't see a future, the whole "I love you but I'm not in love with you" speech.

There's someone else in the picture. Go find out and then come back and we'll be right.

My ex said that.

Was banging someone else behind my back.

SIH is right, go pope-in-Vatican and excommunicate the CRAP outta her.

There's a CHANCE, but more than likely....not likely. My friend, she dumped you cause you weren't good enough for marriage with her, for the possibility of being someone who is.

Look at it from that perspective, and don't let her string you along. Find your backbone and never come back to her.

Well we met a week ago and it was going great. Thought we were going to get

back together. Had a great talk and a great evening. Then she told me she just

doesn't want a relationship. She is back to hanging with this group of friends

again. Found out she is doing some drugs and partying with them. She said

she was going to be selfish right now and "figure" out what she wants.

I have not spoken to her since that night. I have removed her from FB and

Instagram. I had a feeling she was getting back into coke and now she is

back with that crowd again. (she stopped for awhile) She used to say she

wanted to grow up but it looks like she is just as immature as ever. How

could you leave someone of almost 3 years when they have so much going

on in regards to the family fighting cancer. Someone in this thread said

that I might not be what she wants for marriage. The fact is it seems like

she is the one too immature for marriage. Just wants to live that single

drug and party lifestyle. I really wish I could just flip that switch and really

not like her but not going to lie it does suck. (Still confirms no one else and I really know she just wants freedom. She doesn't want a relationship she wants to talk to whoever do whatever whenever. So

immature. After everything) Worst part is these friends treat her poorly after awhile and it will happen again.

She will find out how shallow of a lifestyle it is after awhile.

By the time she finds out, she'll have 3 kids by 5 different men.

I'd recommend you to stay away from her. Move on.

Dude...she already mulled it over way before you were aware...

And she's doing drugs? What are you? Her white knight? Come on man. I don't know WHY cheaters and dumpers use the same line. I need to "find myself" I even used it once, but in my defense, it was a long distance relationship and she didn't want to meet me. But I told her I wanted something physical so she can get the emotional from someone else. She's rebelling against her own conventions and sees you as a paperweight. Spin it anyway you want to but it boils down to this: she doesn't want you anymore.

Think about this, if she DOES come back, you wanna know what's more than likely going to happen? She's gonna date, if she hasn't already. Trust me, she's seeing someone and isn't telling you. "I'm not ready for a relationship" is code name for "I want someone else."

The guy she's chasing, or guys, are gonna use her for sex, she'll have a few kids, they'll find someone else, leave her behind, and she'll come knocking at your door with her kids and her sad pouty eyes, thinking that you'll buy her tears and help her raise her kids.

^This happens a lot more than you think. Don't be that guy.

Go find someone better. Someone who is into you.
