Astrolink Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 Just an observation about the different expectations of the genders in relationships, or perhaps points to ponder: If a man had a wife that was attractive, didn't work or cook or do much around the house, but she initiated sex most every day as soon as he got home from work, he'd probably be fairly satisfied with his marriage. If a women had a husband that was attractive, didn't work or cook or do much around the house, but he initiated sex most every day as soon as his wife got home from work, he'd be out the door in probably less than a week. Is it any wonder that relationships are often complicated and difficult?

Are you learning about relationships from a cliched stand up comedian? Because, there's so much more to it than that. I was attractive, cooked, cleaned, and love sex and initiated it very often and never turned it down. I'm divorced. Relationships are hard and it's not because of cliches and generalizations about the genders. It's because it's two separate people with separate needs and desires trying to build a life together in a world full of pressures and distractions. 3

HeartbrokenNewbie Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 I think its about strengths and weaknesses and I think the best relationships are where you compliment each other.. my ex was terrible with money whereas I was good so I took control, he was crap at DIY so I done it, I hate shopping so he picked what went together, I cleaned the house he cleaned the cars, I couldnt organise a p*ss up in a brewery so he organised things like that... oh hold on I think I may have been going out with a gay man! lol x 1
