Living well is the best revenge....

In my life, I have found most people get what they have coming to them, without any intervention or action..Happens almost every time..To seek revenge just looks weak and vindictive..

Hi everyone

I was wondering if it is ever OK to seek revenge on people...like say someone is rude to you or no longer wants to be your friend.

I know this might sound strange but sometimes I really want to get back at people who have hurt my feelings and I have in the past. For example, one friend said rude things to me so I forwarded emails to a mutual friend that she was complaining about in the past. Is there ever a situation where this is ok?

Or does this only hurt me and make me look bad?

I am also a parent....would this honestly be teaching my kids wrongly?

Thanks everyone. I ask because I am truly trying to reflect on my behavior.

Vengeance is a poor man's grief.

Sometimes it's just good business. ;)

But not this time.

Doing business is often like our MAD policy during the cold war - if you destroy me I'll destroy you.

I've had to hurt people just to ensure that they know I can... and that I know how. I never take revenge for personal satisfaction but rather as part of a calculated strategy. But when revenge is required, there is definitely some personal satisfaction in there...

Over the last two years I've been on the verge of destroying someone's career. It was touch and go for a long time but I may get out of this without the need for a direct nuclear attack.

Rule number one: Taking revenge always has a price. It is never free.

I disagree that it's "good" business but I know it's almost a skill set in the business world.

I avoid that world but then again I'm a bit strange.

as far as being spiteful....spite has a habit of coming out at inopportune moments if you hold it within, and gets misdirected at the slightest provocation.....

the peopel who get the most respect are actually not ruthless business man but businessman with ethics who work hard for what they have......i am not afraid of ruthless people i have met a few....i have sympathy for them ......they are actually not happy..theri inspiration is not to eb happy i nlife but to accumulate things places people......and happiness is left far behind.....because they always want more....until they fail ....and they ultimately do........deb
