pioneer Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 Iv been split up with my gf for about 4 months, i really loved and i guess i still do, we were 2gether for 5 1/2 years. Anyway, after about a month of splitting up, i started dating a new girl. We dont see each other that often which is down to me. I havent slept with her yet and she must be wondering whats going on, iv never known dating to be going this slow! maybe its because i cant get my ex out of my head, any ideas?? Should i continue to see this girl?

You miss the intimacy, the feeling that you're comfortable around eachother, etc... it's not coming back, that I guarantee you. It takes time and a lot of genuine emotion. Obviously you lack both. I say have patience. MAybe this new girl has something else to teach you, something different. From personal experience: once a long relationship ends, it stays that way. So given that you have no choice, you can at least enjoy the ride !
