Well its a long story but I have been trying to get in touch with my niece who I have not seen or heard from for a couple years now since her dad who is my brother passed away. I tried to contact her on Facebook and on Instagram but she never returned my message. I only wrote to her once saying who I am and I think she deleted my comment on Instagram I'm not sure. Don't know why she is not answering me. She doesn't know her dad side of the family well since she was raised by her mom but my niece would visit her dad. I'm not sure what to do from here.

If your niece is still a minor, I think it's somewhat inappropriate for you to be trying to contact her directly. Go through her mother.

 

If she's an adult, leave it alone for a while. Maybe you can try again in a couple of years. But you can't force it. If she chooses to never contact you, you'll just have to respect that.

Sorry for the late reply. Thanks so much for your answer. My niece is now 18. I hope someday she will try to contact us. I'm just abit disappointed because we spoke before on Facebook 2 or 3 years back. I found her on her cousin, my other niece on her page.
