emotionsmessmeup Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 Why would u just have a fling or take a booty call when u know its not going to go anywhere?
Mz. Pixie Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 Yup, either she wants to get laid or she thinks the "booty call" may lead to the guy being more serious about her than he was, ie "I can change his mind"
EC Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 some people just have an itch that needs scratching and thats it.
Author emotionsmessmeup Posted February 24, 2005 Author Posted February 24, 2005 none of the reasons are valid though. why should i take a booty call? just to have fun...hmm......
Debo Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 I don't know why, but I would like to have any numbers of the girls that do.
LittleMiss Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 That's all a booty call is supposed to be about sex aka *fun*. They are not to be taken seriously and it should be known what the other person's intentions are. Usually it is known by both parties that a relationship will not develop from casual sex. If you are not comfortable with having just casual sex with someone then don't do it. No one can give you a good reason to have casual sex with someone if you don't feel that it's right.
glitter-gal Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 Mostly I used to call my "booty call" over so I could get off... Come on, solo sex can only be entertaining for so long right?? What could be better (when you are single and not looking to be in a relationship) than no-strings-attached all night hot sex??? Am I dense or is it really that hard to understand???
shamen Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 I agree that sometimes it's just an itch that needs scratching. I've had several beaus that I dated that I took booty calls from on a regular basis in the past. It was awesome: he'd go out with his friends and I'd go out with mine. We'd hook up late because it was fun. emotionsmessmeup, it depends on what your intentions are. If you are considering a booty call with a guy, you've got to figure out where you stand with him and what you want from it before you do it. I don't think that one should consider a booty call as a good way to get closer to someone. I've only ever used it with men that I've dated.
EC Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 A close by...drive by.... Thats what I call it. Sometimes you just need to feel a penis inside of you without all the drama. Its not that hard to understand.
ReluctantRomeo Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 Originally posted by Debo I don't know why, but I would like to have any numbers of the girls that do. Yes, we guys don't worry so much about the why as the how

iceisles Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 What's the difference between a booty call and just cranking up the vibrator? They both do the same thing.
EC Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 You can't kiss a vibrator, you can't scratch a vibrators back, a vibrator can't whisper naughty things in your ear while hitting it from behind. Its different.
blind_otter Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 Booty call = a fun f*ck. That's about it. Some people are into that, some aren't.
whichwayisup Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 Yeah but with a Vibe you just can't lay back and let it do all the work...Gotta hold it ya know??? With a guy atleast ya can lay back and enjoy.

She may be victim to one of those cumbersome socially imposed philosophies regarding sex. For example, she may believe that you only ever have sex with someone if you feel strong love for them, or she may feel that sex is strictly for reproduction. Either way it won’t make her very popular with the guys at parties, and if she’s vocal about her feeling, probably not with the girls either.

If you have standards of some sort and you stick and live by them, there is nothing wrong. Whatever these standards are. Whatever she believes, it is not an invalid belief. Problems arise when standards don't match, or for example when men believe they are allowed to f*ck around before they get married, but somehow expect to marry a virgin.

Booty calls are not personally how I roll, but I think that sex for fun should be as acceptable for females as it is for males.

I really don't think it's bad if you don't feel like having meaningless sex. I am as fertile as is possible, I get pregnant when I sneeze, even when I use protection, so I don't do the booty call thing anymore. 2 miscarriages were enough. Plus, meaningless sex feels really empty to me and I just don't like it right now. I may in the future, but to me, I feel like I just want to get to know someone BEFORE I f*ck them right now. Also, I dunno, it's also another thing..my Dad said, if you don't respect yourself, how can you expect anyone else to respect you? And I feel, lately, like saving my body for the next person I really care about, I dunno, I just want to do that. I've had so many meaningless sexual encounters I feel almost blah about it now. But ya know, different strokes.
EC Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 I used to roll with the booty call thing but then I stopped once I met my bf. Now I am only his and completely loyal. And even having an LDR I have had to use the vibrator. BUt I mean come tomorrow he leaves me and I am lonely and have an itch and I find the right guy to just have a booty call with I will.

Whatever your moral views on sex. There is no justification to be given, whatever standpoint you have, for a theory of morality that denies the basic equality of the sexes, regarding the way they are allowed to express their sexuality.
